21a) Folk/Tribal Dance:p Only one entry per Institution is allowed.p Maximum10 participants allowed perteam.The teammay consist of all boys, all girls or amixture of both.p The number of accompanists permissible is %uf001ve.p The dance can be either primitive or a folk dance (Indian Style) but not a classical one.p Duration of performance is minimum 8 and maximum 10 minutes.p Time for sets/Instruments setting is maximum 5 minutes.p Three copies of a brief note giving the theme and the text of song if any, is to be submitted along withthe entry form at the time of registration.p The participating team will be responsible for removal of their sets/ properties etc. immediately afterthe completion of their performance.p Recorded music or audio/CD is not permitted during the folk/classical dance. p Judgment will be based on the basis of Rhythm, Formation, Expression, Costumes, Make-up & Sets onOverall Effect.p Marking strictly on quality of dance. Extra efforts on creating visual elegance with set design, would notbe considered for marking. p Accompaniment should be live and not recorded.b) Classical Dance (Indian):p Each Institute can send only one entry.p The classical dance can be from any of the approved schools of dance like Kathak, Kathakali, BharatNatyam, Manipuri, Kuchipudi, Mohini tam, Odissi etc.p Participants will be allowed up to 15 minutes including time for preparation. Maximum threeaccompanists are permissible.p Duration of performance is minimum 12 and maximum 15 minutes.p Recorded music or audio/CD is not permitted during the classical dance.p Judgment will be based on the qualities like Tal, Technique, Rhythm, Abhinaya or Expression,Costumes, Footwork and General Impression etc.p Three copies of a brief note on the description of dance story involved in it, if any, and of the accompanying song, with its meaning in Hindi or English must be submitted at the time of registration.p Accompaniment should be live and not recorded.a) Quiz:p Each Institute can send a team of three persons.p There will be a written preliminary round and teams will be elected for the %uf001nal.p Finals will be oral with audio-visual questions.p The speci%uf001c rules regarding evaluation procedure, time to reply a particular answer and the type ofround will be given before the start of the competition.DANCELITERARY EVENTS
