ONE ACT PLAY

Rules & Regulations

• Only one entry shall be accepted from each Institution.
• The duration of the play should be between 25-30 minutes.
• Time will be counted as soon as the signal is given or the team starts introducing, whichever is earlier. For stage setting and removal, up to 10 minutes will be given after taking charge of the stage.
• The number of participants should not exceed nine, and accompanists should not exceed three. Teams shall bring their own sets, stage property, make-up material, etc.
• Participants may speak in Hindi, English, or any regional language of India. If in a regional language, a synopsis with translation must be submitted on the day of registration.
• Teams must report to the in-charge at least two hours before the play.
• Judgment will be based on theme, acting, stagecraft, design, and overall impression.
• The decision of the judges is final and binding on all.
• Accompanists will either speak from the background or play musical instruments for background music. They shall not appear on stage.
